President of the Supreme Judicial Council Discusses Implementation of Agreements with Iranian Delegation

President of the Supreme Judicial Council Faiq Zidan received today (Thursday, 20 Ab) in Baghdad the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Qalibaf and the accompanying delegation. According to a statement, the two sides discussed during the meeting ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Iran in the judicial and legal fields, as well as follow-up on the implementation of the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed previously. It is noted that Qalibaf's visit to Baghdad will last several days, during which security and economic cooperation between the two sides will be discussed alongside the judicial file. The meeting comes within the framework of bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran, with both sides seeking to expand horizons of cooperation in various sectors according to what was previously agreed. The statement issued by the Office of the President of the Supreme Judicial Council affirmed that the discussion focused on mechanisms for following up on what was agreed and ensuring its implementation according to the specified timetables.
