Al-Zaydi chairs the service committee meeting for preparations for the Arba'een visit in Karbala

Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaydi chaired on Tuesday a meeting of the service committee for the million-visitor gatherings, to review preparations for providing services to millions of visitors heading to Karbala Governorate.

The Prime Minister's media office said in a statement that the meeting discussed service preparations for commemorating the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussein (peace be upon him), which sees the influx of millions of visitors from inside and outside Iraq.

Al-Zaydi stressed during the meeting the need for this year's visit to be distinct from previous years in terms of providing services and ensuring the smooth movement of visitors, emphasizing the importance of reading the field situation and determining the required needs.

"It is necessary that this year's visit be distinct from previous years in terms of providing services and ensuring the smooth flow of visitors, reflecting the government's success and strengthening citizens' confidence in its performance."

Al-Zaydi directed the establishment of a comprehensive mechanism to organize the visit, particularly concerning the transportation and reverse routing of visitors, by securing sufficient vehicles in cooperation with ministries and local authorities, in addition to providing basic services for the Hussaini processions.

He also ordered border crossings to facilitate the entry of Arab and foreign visitors into Iraq, aiming to highlight government efforts and enhance the country's positive image.
