State Administration Meeting Discusses Al-Zaydi's Washington Visit and Anti-Corruption

The Prime Minister, Ali Al-Zaydi, held a State Administration meeting at the government palace, discussing a scheduled official visit to Washington and the anti-corruption file. Participating in the meeting were President Nizar Amidi, Speaker of Parliament Hebat Hamad Al-Halbousi, Chief Justice Faiq Zidan, and Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, according to the Prime Minister's media office.

The arrangements for Al-Zaydi's visit to the United States were reviewed, in addition to discussing ways to employ its outcomes to strengthen international relations serving Iraq's interests.

Participants affirmed their support for anti-corruption efforts led by the government and judiciary, urging their continuation according to the law and free from political selectivity. They also emphasized the importance of restricting weapons to state hands and strengthening the sovereignty of the state's constitutional institutions. The meeting called for adopting dialogue as a means to resolve regional crises, rejecting escalation, while affirming Iraq's readiness to serve as a platform for developing common interests in the region.
